ENZYME MAKES INNOVATION IN SKIN CARE
What is Arazyme?
Arazyme is a high efficiency protease isolated from the Korean orb spider.
We made it with a new strain developed by ourselves, and can mass produce the protease economically.
How is it different from existing protease?
The existing protease used in detergents was designed to show high activity at high water temperatures.
Their function is severely limited at low water temperature at which laundry is traditionally washed in Asia including South Korea.
The protease, Arazyme, produced from this strain is differentiated from previously used existing enzymes by its optimal activity at mid-low temperatures.
Since Japan, China, Southeast Asia and South America also wash laundry at low temperatures, the detergent efficiency is expected to increase.
Also, its use in industries such as leather manufacture and wool scouring will result in energy conservation from lowered work temperatures.
The existing protease retained its enzymatic activity only at limited pH conditions and decreases in salt concentration or in the presence of metal ions.
Compared to the existing proteases with limited pH ranges, Arazyme, which retains its activity at both alkaline and acid conditions, may have more wide ranging applications in the industries.
Arazyme also retains its enzymatic activity at high salt concentrations and at the presence of metal ions, which gives it great potential for a variety of purposes.
